This is a formal appeal. If you disagree with an assessment made by the Assessor you have the right to appeal that assessment to the Assessment Appeals Board by filing an Application for Assessment Appeal. Once the application has been filed and accepted with the Clerk of the Assessment Appeals Board, a hearing date will be set, at which time you will be notified by mail at least 45 days in advance of the date of your hearing.

Information to help you with your Assessment Appeal Application
The filing of an Application for Changed Assessment, however, does not excuse you from paying taxes as they become due. To avoid penalties, you must pay your taxes on time. If you are successful in your appeal, an adjustment will be made or a refund will be processed.
Please contact the Assessor’s Office for an informal review of Decline in Value. This is not a formal Changed Assessment Application.
