Lobby walk in hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM.

Monday through Friday afternoons are available by appointment only from 1:00 PM - 2:30PM.

The State of California now requires a carbon monoxide alarm to be installed in all existing dwellings pursuant to State of California Health & Safety Code Section 17926. The number and location of alarms shall be consistent with current Building Codes and in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions.

Where a permit is required for alterations, repairs or additions exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000),existing dwellings that have attached garages or fuel-burning appliances shall be provided with a carbon monoxide alarm. See this El Dorado County handout for more information.

The State Fire Marshall and the new 2010 Residential Building Codes require that fire sprinklers be installed in all new residential dwellings and attached garages. A fire sprinkler design must be submitted at the time of the application submittal. See Residential Fire Sprinkler System Plan checklist for submittal requirements.
